The Green Areas of the GRHA are 7 different park areas totaling approximately 36 acres of space. Several of the Green Areas include playground equipment and there are also 2 with basketball courts and one with a soccer field. Some of the areas are only grasslands with trees and bushes. All of these areas are for the usage and enjoyment of all of the members of the association.
As the single biggest asset of the association, the Green Areas take up much of the board’s energy and time to administer. The Green Areas Committee has been Chartered by the Board to handle most of those tasks. Any issues related to the Green Areas should be directed to the Green Areas Committee Chairman,
Paul Howard. He can be contacted at
776-1050 or click on his name to send him an e-mail. He is always interested in hearing about new ideas for the Green Areas as well as being notified of things that need done such as removing fallen trees and dealing with maintenance of the various equipment.

Motorized Vehicles
I have been getting complaints of
people driving off road quad runners and the like in the green
areas. THIS IS NOT PERMITTED. They tear up the grass and
make it really hard on the lawn cutting equipment. Anyone
caught driving any motorized vehicle in any green area other than
the authorized maintenance crews will be asked to leave immediately.
If they refuse the police will be called and they will be charged
with trespassing. |

Dumping Yard Waste in the Green Areas is
NOT PERMITTED
Discarding items in the green areas, such as grass
clippings, leaves, tree branches, and other items, is not a proper use of
these areas.
Such dumping hinders the maintenance of the green
areas and detracts from the enjoyment of other residents in using
the green areas. Therefore, it is not permitted. Please
use the regular trash or recycle pickup services available to you
for disposal of waste items.
Call the city of Dayton at 937-333-4833 for waste
collection and bulk pickup.

Use Those Green Areas!
It's come to my attention that many of our residents feel that
the Green Areas are only for the kids. This is not the case. The Green Areas
are for all of the residents. Any resident and their invited guests can use
the Green Areas for pretty much any reasonable outdoor activity they wish.
If you want to hold a family reunion picnic or something similar, go ahead
and do it. If you want to put up a temporary volleyball court, go ahead. We
do ask that you don't do anything that would possibly endanger other users
of the Green Areas. A good example of this would be golf practice. In past
years we've had problems with this. Even Tiger Woods isn't good enough to
guarantee that he won't hit someone or somebody's house. We also ask that
you not drive any motorized vehicles including the motorized scooters through the Green Areas. There are
areas that tend to stay wet and soft making it very easy to get stuck and do
a lot of damage to the grass. We also would ask that you completely clean up
any mess you make and repair any damage to the grass that you may cause. If
you want to do a bigger event like a family reunion picnic I would
appreciate it if you would contact me in advance so we can go over specifics
and I can answer any questions you might have about the use of the Green
Areas.
