President’s Message:
At the last Trustees meeting on July 10th the
subject of annual dues was discussed. A motion was made to keep the dues at
the current level of $93.45 a year, however, after discussion with Trustees
and other attending members, it was decided to raise the annual dues by 5%.
Even with the current economic pressures, it was felt that an extra $5 a
year would not be an excessive burden on the members of the association, and
was needed to offset the rising costs of mowing and upkeep of equipment.
The charter and purpose of the homeowners association and board of trustees
is to preserve value in our neighborhood, and take care of the property and
facilities in our charge. The extra money will insure that these
responsibilities can be met. The new annual dues for association members
will be $98.12.
If there are any problems with broken sidewalks or holes left open for excessive periods of time during the DP&L upgrade please contact Mike at Ritter Plumbing. His number is 836-6944. It would be greatly appreciated by all of the walkers and joggers in the neighborhood if everyone could please trim their bushes and trees which encroach upon the sidewalks. There are some areas which are nearly impassable. Once this brush is cut just bundle it up and call the city of Dayton Waste department. They'll pick it up on the same day as the recyclables as long as you call in advance. The Green Areas Committee has just prioritized several projects for the area. We will be in need of volunteers in the coming weeks to help us get some things done. Please check on the Green Areas page for a schedule of what's being done and when. Check out the Trustees page on this site to find out who some of your board members are. We are currently 2 members short of a full Board. Please consider joining the Board of Trustees and helping us to make our neighborhood a better place to live. Paul Howard
